Feaster Charter Community School will share how their school community is improving outcomes for youth and engaging families.

So many efforts and initiatives require family and community engagement yet education leaders who often have good intentions find that their efforts do not produce the results they hope for. In this experiential session, participants will learn from diverse perspectives in an interactive format from “panelists” who have experience navigating the education system as parents. In the spirit of prioritizing deep shifts over quick fixes in our improvement work, this session aims to provide a space to slow down and listen before moving to action with a focus on root causes and critical self-reflection. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and contribute to the discussion in this flipped panel format.
